The Company and the Role:
This established Company is looking for a Field Sales Media Consultant, based in Hampshire. Working with a local and professional commercial team, selling a range of multimedia (marketing and communication) solutions. You could be working for one of the largest regional media companies, and with other media specialists. Generating awareness and promoting client products, services and brands to 80% of captured local audiences.
You would manage the relevant territory and region, as a field sales professional, using your experience to hunt out revenue streams from existing and prospective clients.
You would be selling digital and print based advertising products that you had assessed to be the best fit to your customer's and their brand needs.
Setting realistic expectations, managing B2B relationships throughout advertising campaigns and looking to build on campaign success, or to explain / rationalise failures.
You are expected to build a realistic advertising campaign plan around budgets and needs, rather than burning through them in one hit, consulting with the customer to give them your experience and advice, through high levels of customer service and excellence.
This is a full time permanent position.

Key Features of the Role:
As a Field Sales Media Consultant, you will be contacting new, existing, lapsed and previously tendered business customers, to ascertain who the decision maker is regarding advertisement budgets. Adhering to a minimum face to face meeting target of 15 per week.
Engaging with the business customer through various sales techniques learnt or trained. Develop an understanding and structured idea or plan about their advertising media campaign, then offering your knowledge and experience to gage their status in the sales process using detailed fact finding, trial, open and closed sales questioning techniques.
You will look to maximise advertising sales across the complete product portfolio of digital and print packages as long as it sits in line with the customer's needs and budget, and as long as it adds value with the flexibility to negotiate selling features and benefits.
You will be the point of contact when it comes to advising on copywriting, copy presentation, advertisement design and campaign planning as  well as collecting and processing all advertisement copy, liaising with all external and internal stakeholders.
You will be tasked with developing and managing the customer relationship.
Carrying out Competitor Management in the market and relaying market statistics and how they may impact the customer. 

Knowledge and Skills:
Essential to the Field Sales Media Consultant role is a background in field based or face to face business to business sales. Full training is given on products and services, so previous media or publishing experience is not essential, but is desirable.
It is also essential that you have corporate customer services, account management or relationship management experience.
Due to the nature of the role you must have good attention to detail, an ability to plan as well as being able to decipher reports and statistics.
You must be able to communicate effectively and efficiently with a corporate customer when relaying your experience and knowledge  to various levels of understanding, potentially pitching to Board Level business leaders and decision makers of large corporates or SME's.
You must have a good level of experience working with sales systems, CRM, tracking and detailing customer data and details of all correspondence.
You must have good Microsoft Office packages experience and minimum GCSE Math's and English. However a record of self-learning or relevant degree is desirable.
You must be both a sales hunter and consultant, with the ability to negotiate, and solve problems so you can overcome challenges, technical questioning or objections in the sales process that might come up.
You are required to have a clean driving licence.
